Public WiFi and Domain Password

I have an underling IT guy that helps me out. He’s very willing to do pretty much anything, but he’s not exactly the “IT Type”. He’ll forget everything you tell him and never writes anything down. I once had him install Ubuntu on a server just so he could play around with it – he forgot the password 3 times. Three. In less than two days too. Wow.

A***: Hey Jason, I’m going to need your help
Jason: OK, what’s up?
A***: The laptop isn’t taking my credentials, can you log in as you?
Jason: Uh, but you have rights to… which wireless is this connected to?
A***: The public one
Jason: That’s the problem, connect to the internal one and then try again. Do you need the SSID information?
A***: Yes
Jason: Here you go. Then try it again.
A***: Thanks.

After a minute or two:

A***: I’m going to need you anyway, it says I don’t have permission.
Jason: Permission for what?
A***: Permission for the UAC thing.
Jason: Uh, log in as the administrator and disable that crap.
A***: I am
Jason: No, the local administrator, log in as the local administrator and disable it.
A***: But I don’t remember the password
Jason: Write stuff down! Use the *** disk to reset it…
A***: Ok

Minute or two later:
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
Random other employee: “It sounds like a machine that’s doing that
A***: Sorry that’s just me

Not sure what he’s doing, but it’s probably wrong.
